For those of you who did not know, Russell Hulum was Reba McEntire’s personal traveling sound man and back up trouble shooter so to speak for years,. Before his phenomenal encounter with Jesus on his so called road to Damascus, he worked for most of Las Vegas big hotels / casinos which had him working closely with all the big names who toured Las Vegas. He knows many of the famous musicians and this Recovery Church Christmas Special with HOPE RISING comes from his years of experience – but htis time he’s using this God given gift as a benefit fund raiser for Duncan’s first reintegration home.
After one of those Jesus moments, the ones where we get knocked off our Asses, (Donkeys), the Lord got a hold of his heart and ever since he’s dedicated the gift God’s given him into the kingdom, helping many local churches, organizations, and any kingdom cause the Lord leads him to. Funny story he tells, after telling me he’s making 250-300 thousand dollars annually, in the 70’s and 80’s by the way, he was miserable, now I’m not sure what his business makes, sure it’s not like that, but you can’t cut the smile off his face nor remove the peace in his heart—like most of us once we make that serious move toward Jesus, there is a peace that surpasses all understanding, we never want to part with or allow anything to steal it again. Russell has one heck of a story and we will b sharing soon what God has done.
